When you order a custom art portrait
these are the stages of the project...
1. If you have reference photos, send them to me by text 717-419-9566 or email [email protected] or make an appointment to show them to me. We can discuss the project by phone or in person at my studio, with an appointment. I can add or subtract any elements to the subject. Such as for homes, add landscaping and remove other houses.
Reference photos of homes - get front and two side angles and all of landscape from same points of view, and details of doors, windows and features of the home. For people, pets, etc. Get several photos inside, outside, etc.
For all projects mark which photo is the main photo that the art should look like.
2. If you need reference photos, I can take them of homes, etc. if you are within 35 minutes of Lititz, Pa. Or you can come to my photo studio and get photos of people, pets. Cost is $15+ depending what you get done.
3. Decide on the art medium (watercolor, ink, acrylic, pencil, charcoal/white pencil, digital art, etc.).
4. Decide on the art and frame size.
5. I will give you a free estimate on the estimated cost to do the project without framing.
6. Let me know if you want to frame it or you want to take it to a frame shop or
if you want me to frame it with standard size frames. I will let you know frame costs.
7. I will do a drawing. I can text or email it to you, but the photo of the drawing will need to be darkened by my computer to show up, so the colors may appear off color.
8. Once you approve the drawing, I will render the portrait in the art medium you choose.
9. When the project is finished, I can take a photo of it, marked "PROOF" and email or text it to you for approval.
10. Then tell me if you want to pick it up or have it shipped in a tube or framed. And we will add shipping.
11. Payment is due before shipping or at pick up.
12. At pick up. Any unframed works will be approved in person. Any minor changes that I can make, I will make as possible.
